چکیده

Hwang and Li proposed the first remote user authentication scheme using smart cards to solve the problems of Lamport scheme. Unfortunately, Hwang and Li’s scheme has some security weaknesses. First, ChanChang, ShenLinHwang and then Chang-Hwang pointed out some attacks on Hwang – Li’s scheme. This paper presents a new remote user authentication scheme with forward secrecy, which provides forward secrecy to the long term secret key of the authentication server. This scheme is also secure against Chan – Cheng and all the extended attacks. Secure Password-Based Remote User Authentication Scheme with Non-tamper Resistant Smart Cards

It is a challenge for password authentication protocols using non-tamper resistant smart cards to achieve user anonymity, forward secrecy, immunity to various attacks and high performance at the same time. In DBSec’11, Li et al. showed that Kim and Chung’s passwordbased remote user authentication scheme is vulnerable to various attacks if the smart card is non-tamper resistant. Consequently, an...

A Forward Secure Remote User Authentication Scheme

Remote user authentication schemes allow a valid user to login a remote server. In 2000, Hwang and Li’s proposed a new remote user authentication scheme with smart cards. In the recent years, some researchers pointed out the security weaknesses of Hwang and Li’s scheme and they also proposed some modified schemes to avoid these weaknesses. This paper analyzes that Hwang and Li’s scheme does not ...

Cryptanalysis of Two Dynamic ID-Based Remote User Authentication Schemes for Preserving User Privacy

Remote user authentication is an essential part in electronic commerce to identify legitimate users over the Internet. However, how to protect user privacy in the authentication has become an important issue recently. Therefore, many secure authentication schemes with smart cards have been proposed. In this paper, we will analyze the security weaknesses of two recently proposed authentication s...
